Jock Lindsey’s Hanger Bar

This past weekend, we headed over to Jock Lindsey’s Hanger Bar at the “new” Disney Spring’s. Jock Lindsey’s open earlier last week, and since it is Indiana Jones themed (I’m kind of a big fan), we dropped in.

No ADR’s available here. Why you ask? Because its a bar (its in the name). Small bites that are Disney-fied bar food, and drinks. The inside bar is pretty small, and when we first arrived, it was pretty crowded. To make sure the building was not over crowded, you had to leave your name on a wait list. If you decided to leave your cell phone number, they’d text you when you could enter, so you weren’t waiting around. Our wait time was estimated around 50 minutes, but we received our text in about 20 minutes.

We were able to get a table inside, and marvel at the decor. While our stay was relatively short, we found a few items of interest, and there appear to be Easter-eggs thrown in everywhere inside. The booth seat is situated in what looks like the side of an aircraft fuselage. Stamped on the fuselage is the first movie reference we found.

Not to give away too much, you order out of a Pilots Log, drinks are call Jock-tales, and everything is named after some Indiana Jones reference. Wouldn’t have guessed. Each drink has a story, and some have rituals. This past weekend, the only take home item available was the snake stir from Reggie’s Revenge. The others were “not yet cleared for take off.”

The food was appetizer sized, the portions dictate you should order about 1 for every 1 person, and then share. We tried the Dr. Elsa’s She-Deviled Eggs, brined in beet juice giving them a purple look. These eggs had a slight mustard taste when you ate them whole, different for deviled eggs. I don’t like beets, but I liked these. Next up for us was Lao Che’s Revenge, described as “Spicy Asian Sticky Wings”, they were spicy, and sticky. I found these absolutely delicious.

No Passholder or Tables in Wonderland discounts, yet. This is owned and operated by Disney, so we expect to see those in the future.
